“I don’t see why I should have to pay if voters don’t do what they’re told,” says Musk.
The crushing defeat of his chosen candidate in the Wisconsin Supreme Court election has sent Musk off on a Trump-quality day-after rant.
“It’s a sad day for democracy and capitalism when money can’t even buy an election anymore,” he lamented. “Wisconsin voters should be ashamed.”
Musk also claimed that the press took him out of context when it reported his comment that “the future of civilization is at stake” in this election.
“Just play the video,” Musk said. “My FULL statement was, ‘‘the future of civilization is at stake, as is the future of my net worth.”
Musk is giving Wisconsin voters till midnight April 5th to return their ill-gotten gains. “If they don’t comply, I will inflict serious pain,” he says, “by continuing to endorse Republican candidates.”
